Quality Control Job – Key Responsibilities
As an Associate in Quality Control (Cell Culture), you are the gatekeeper for patient safety and product efficacy. You will ensure the timely execution of QC analytical assays in support of product release across all of ImmunityBio’s oncology and vaccine platforms.
- Assay Execution: Lead the testing of assigned lot release and stability samples, ensuring all turnaround time requirements are strictly met.
- Method & Equipment Validation: Participate actively in method qualification, validation, and technical transfer activities. You will also support Instrument Installation and Operational Qualification (IOQ).
- Compliance & Investigations: Ensure a compliant workspace by enforcing GxP requirements. You will support or lead Out of Specification (OOS) and Out of Trend (OOT) investigations, implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Data Integrity: Review and approve testing performed by other team members to ensure the timely release of test data and absolute data integrity.
- Continuous Improvement: Track and trend key performance indicators (KPIs), troubleshoot invalid assays to improve performance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the testing labs.
Qualifications & Experience Required For Quality Control Job

- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline is required, making this an ideal Life Sciences Job for recent graduates with initial industry exposure.

- Regulatory Knowledge: A demonstrated understanding of 21 CFR 210/211, USP, EP, and ICH guidelines.
- Documentation Skills: Strong technical writing skills are essential for preparing SOPs, analytical test reports, and summary reports to support FDA and EMA filings.
- Work Environment Agility: You must be able to gown up and work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods. The role also requires flexibility for occasional weekend, holiday, or off-hour shift work to meet business needs.
