Microbiologist Job Description
Microbiologist responsibilities in this role include performing functions within the Microbiology Laboratory related to Environmental Monitoring (EM) of controlled production areas. The position also involves equipment maintenance and LIMS management to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical standards and cGMP regulations. The selected candidate will work closely with laboratory teams and production departments to maintain environmental monitoring processes and support investigations through accurate documentation and data trending.
Qualifications
Microbiologist applicants should meet the following educational and technical requirements:
- BS Degree in Microbiology or Biology with 0–2 years of pharmaceutical microbiology experience.
- Microbiology coursework and laboratory work utilizing aseptic techniques are required.
- Ability to pass and maintain Class 100/ISO 5/Grade A gowning qualification.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Excellent communication skills across departments and management levels.
- Understanding of laboratory instruments and microbiological methods.
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
