QA Job Description
QA job responsibilities at Amgen involve supporting the Incoming QA team to ensure a continuous and compliant flow of materials into production processes. The Associate Quality Assurance professional will support both commercial and clinical supply operations while maintaining quality excellence and regulatory compliance.
The role focuses on inspection, sampling, material release, deviation handling, and collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders and suppliers within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Qualifications
QA job applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- MBO or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Preferably around three years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and/or Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
- Ability to interpret and apply quality requirements in routine situations.
- Strong attention to detail and structured working style.
- Quality-focused mindset with ownership and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Key Responsibilities – QA Job
QA job duties include:
- Execute sampling and inspection of incoming materials, including commercial and clinical printed and non-printed packaging components and devices.
- Perform review and release of incoming materials according to applicable procedures and quality requirements.
- Collect data and coordinate with Warehouse, Supply Chain, External Supply teams, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Initiate, document, and manage minor deviations while ensuring timely investigation and closure.
- Perform reserve sample inspections to support complaint investigations, deviations, and annual reserve sample processes.
- Execute additional sampling, inspection, and damage assessment activities for received components when required.
- Maintain compliance with GMP and GDP standards in routine quality operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within Incoming Quality Assurance activities.
