CDC: China’s COVID-19 vaccine may be available in November  

An official of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention claimed that China’s coronavirus vaccines might be available for public usage by early as November.

There are 4 COVID-19 vaccines being developed in China which are in the last phase of clinical trials. Currently, under an emergency usage program released in July, at least 3 of those vaccines have been given to essential workers.

Guizhen Wu, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention chief biosafety expert said that the Phase 3 clinical trials were continuing smoothly as well as by November or December, the vaccines could be available for the public use.

No unusual symptoms were experienced in recent months after taking a speculative vaccine in April, stated Guizhen Wu, however, she didn’t specify which vaccine was taken by her.

Under the state’s emergency use program, 3 vaccines are being developed by a unit of state pharmaceutical giant China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm) and the U.S. listed Sinovac Biotech SVA.O. The 4th COVID-19 vaccine is being developed by CanSino Biologics 6185.HK and is authorized in June for usage for the Chinese military.

The Sinophar’s vaccine could be all set for public use by the end of 2020 after the completion of the final phase of clinical trials, said Sinopharm.

Vaccine manufacturers around the world are competing to develop a reliable vaccine against COVID-19 which has actually killed more than 925,000 individuals.
