Research Associate Overview

Join the forefront of groundbreaking research at City of Hope, contributing to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or designee, the Research Associate I performs routine and progressively complex research tasks supporting the Cutaneous Lymphoma Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the collection, documentation, and quality control of patient-reported outcome (PRO) data.
  • Collaborate with clinical PI, care team, and patient advocacy groups to select appropriate quality-of-life measurement tools and optimize assessment schedules.
  • Administer patient questionnaires; assist with data analysis, summarization, and presentation at clinical conferences.
  • Draft SOPs, reports, and manuscripts.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedures, results, and methodologies; compile and graph data as needed.
  • Develop new techniques and expertise relevant to laboratory research projects.
  • Ensure all lab activities comply with safety guidelines and proper handling, storage, and disposal protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences.
  • 0–2 years of research or laboratory experience.
