Educational Requirements for the Quality Assurance Jobs:
- Degree in Food Science or a related scientific discipline (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment with direct involvement in product quality and food safety monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- In the Quality Assurance Jobs, you should monitor incoming raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications
- Ensure finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards
- Audit plant operations and operator records for quality and reporting compliance
- Analyze and document moisture levels for raw materials, in-process, and finished products in the Quality Assurance Jobs.
- Conduct organoleptic testing and evaluate finished product integrity
- Perform routine measurements on production samples and document results
- Coordinate third-party testing, including sample collection, shipment, and result compilation, in this QA Technician Role.
- Report food safety, sanitation, and housekeeping issues to the Quality Manager
- Assist production teams in troubleshooting quality-related issues
- Audit packaging lines, including metal detection, weight control, and label verification
- Audit and document retention (shelf-life) samples
- Manage customer and vendor product sample inventory
- In this QA Technician Role, you should support GMP and HACCP program maintenance
- Interact with receiving, production, packaging, and warehouse teams
- Assist with routine laboratory activities and other assigned tasks
Skills Required for the QA Technician Role:
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, GMPs, and HACCP
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to work in high heat and humidity, and walk throughout the plant
