Educational Requirements for the Technologist Role:

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Food Science / Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related discipline
Key Responsibilities:
- Support R&D PepsiCo functions, including leading the Flavor Program for LATAM in this Technologist Role.
- Assist in all pilot plant trials and laboratory administration activities
- Support business continuity through internal operations, productivity initiatives, and technical requests
- Develop innovative new products and optimize existing formulations within cost, regulatory, and customer guidelines
- Conduct bench-top formulations, sample preparation, labeling, evaluation, and scale-up activities in the Technologist Role.
- Provide technical support to customers through finished samples and in-plant assistance
- Maintain accurate formulation records, ingredient data, and technical files while protecting proprietary information
- Coordinate with ingredient vendors to obtain samples and technical information
- Participate in cross-functional teams involving QA, Regulatory, Marketing, Sensory, and Operations
Skills Required for the Technologist Role:
- Strong knowledge of food product development processes
- Experience with laboratory equipment and laboratory safety practices are required for the Food Science Jobs.
- Ability to interpret data and solve problems with incomplete information
- Risk assessment and decision-making skills in technical scenarios
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interactions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes
- Knowledge of WinCHEM and SAP (preferred)
- Advanced English proficiency
