Educational Requirements:
- Associate Degree (A.S.) with 2+ years of industry experience in Biology, Biochemistry, or related science
- OR Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (B.S./M.S.) with 0+ years of industry experience
- Background in microbiology or related life science disciplines preferred
Key Responsibilities for Microbiologist Role:
- Perform routine microbiological testing on water, gas, raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Conduct Bioburden, Endotoxin, Sterility, Microbial Identification, and biological indicator testing
- Identify microorganisms and maintain microbial stock cultures
- Execute method suitability testing (bacteriostasis/fungi stasis)
- Review microbiology data, logbooks, and laboratory records
- Investigate deviations and support root cause analysis
- Create, review, and revise SOPs, protocols, and trend reports
- Support audits, inspections, and inspection readiness activities
- Train and mentor other analysts as required
Skills Required for Microbiologist Role:
- Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and laboratory compliance
- Experience with LIMS, MODA, SmartLab, TrackWise, or similar systems
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, and holidays when required
