Position Overview
GE HealthCare is offering a Medical Affairs Internship within its Healthcare Pharmaceutical Diagnostics division in Milan, Italy. The internship provides supervised experience supporting medical and scientific activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and assisting in scientific communication and operational processes within the Medical Affairs function.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a support contact for basic technical and medical inquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders
- Assist in handling queries from healthcare professionals, researchers, field teams, and internal departments including Medical, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, and Quality Assurance
- Support scientific research activities to prepare accurate responses to medical or technical requests
- Collaborate with the Medical Director, Senior Medical Advisor, and Global Medical Affairs teams on ongoing projects and daily activities
- Conduct literature searches and monitor new scientific publications relevant to company products
- Prepare summaries of scientific publications for internal use
- Assist in distributing relevant scientific papers and resources to internal teams or external stakeholders
- Contribute to the documentation of medical inquiries and responses in the global database, ensuring accuracy of metrics
- Support the sales certification process through preparation of documentation and coordination of required materials
- Assist in the promotional material review process, ensuring timely progression through approval systems
- Collaborate with regional medical colleagues to prepare training materials and coordinate logistics for internal training sessions
- Support the Medical Information Expert with data gathering and review of specialized medical content
- Provide administrative support to commercial teams, including gathering scientific insights and contributing to congress preparation
- Assist in preparing congress and symposium reports summarizing key scientific insights
- Support the organization of advisory boards, expert meetings, and scientific society interactions
- Provide general administrative support to ensure effective Medical Affairs team operations, including workflows, contracts, and reporting
Qualifications For Medical Affairs Internship
- Degree in Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
